CrossCountry have revamped their catering offer again.
The pre-order paid for hot meals have gone. Instead, there are now complimentary hot meals for 1st Class ticket holders travelling over 90 minutes on selected services. Examples include a full all day breakfast, chilli con carne and a vegetable biryani.
On shorter journeys over 50 minutes on weekdays, and on journeys over 90 minutes at weekends, there is a selection of hot and cold sandwiches to chose from.
Complimentary snacks (porridge, pastries, cakes, kettle chips, biscuits) and non-alcoholic hot and cold drinks are available every day to all 1st Class passengers. Alcoholic beverages at additional charge.
All served at seat subject to availability.
Standard Class passengers on CrossCountry continue to have a trolley service. Limited food items beyond snacks and confectionary. Just a couple of paid for hot breakfast items or cold sandwiches.

Although I wouldn't try ordering a vegetable biryani on a trip from Bristol Temple Meads to Bristol Parkway!
