Reports of a person hit by a train between Dawlish and Exeter this evening.

Happened around 19:30.  Thoughts with those involved and also those trying to get home for the weekend.  Friday night trains to the West Country are busy all year round these days.

Has been confirmed as a fatality and non-suspicious by the police.

Echoing bobm, thoughts are with the driver of the service involved and the family and friends of the deceased.

Looking at the Realtime Trains information it appears that the (2E49) 1852 Paignton to Exeter St Davids service was involved.
