William Huskisson MP▸ (Member of Parliament) was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830.  Many more have died in the same way since then.  Don't take a chance: stop, look, listen.

I suspect trains pass the platform too, adding to the danger.  Perhaps it should be closed.

Is this in respect to the newly repaired south end of the down platform at Moreton- in- marsh, it does look a lot higher than the rest of the platform? I have not been there myself but did look at some pictures on the CLPG» (Cotswold Line Promotion Group - about) site, these show the new track laid on the down line plus the platform, very odd! Maybe the rest of the platform is to be raised up to match?

Apparently the platform had some work done last weekend but the surface was left uneven, and the work to rectify it couldn't be done until this weekend.
