Hi All,

About to go into a presentation so have to be brief. Tomorrow I've been told I need to travel to Widnes (near Liverpool). Probably going to travel up in the evening. Don't necessarily need to go to Widnes. Toying with the idea of a Hotel in Manchester or Liverpool. Back Sunday afternoon.

In this instance I am not too fussed if the cheapest option is XC (Cross Country Trains (franchise)). Just need to be in Widnes for 10AM on Sunday.

Usual rules. First Class and Disabled Railcard.

Split tickets assistance please coffeeshoppers Grin

(Btw don't need to be flexible on times so Advance Fares will be considered acceptable!)

From Bath:

Chippenham - Droitwich Spa Off Peak Return (SVR) ^17.50 (Plus 2x ^10 XC (Cross Country Trains (franchise)) Weekend First Bristol-Birmingham upgrade) ^37.50

Ticket to Droitwich Spa is valid via Birmingham and you can start and end short at both Bath and Birmingham.

Birmingham Stations - Stafford 2x 1st Anytime Day Singles @^8.50 ^17.00

Stafford - Liverpool 1st Off Peak Return (Virgin Only) ^24.60

Total ^79.10

Plus your local fares from wherever you decide to stay in the Liverpool area to/from Widnes

That's my suggestion for travelling up the evening before and back Sunday afternoon. Hardly worth taking 1st Class between Bath and Bristol. Can't see any 1st Class Advances, either through or split that'll beat that. Your call on the times, just remembering that you'd need to change onto/off of Virgin at Stafford.
