Ah, dear old Shepton Mallet. He was once rumoured to have an affair with that scandalous woman Haselbury Plucknett. I had that on good authority from my old friend Compton Dando.

I believe Shepton Mallett may be a relative of Anatole (1837 - 1919), who of course has a strong railway connection.
