Think about the poor people near Newport Docks - they have a World War Two bomb to contend with.

Apparently not.  Update says it was a Victorian pressure vessel.  Hope no poor kids were doing their exams in the school that was evacuated.

Not sure if this is pedantry or health and safety gone mad - but if a train passed this sign at sufficient speed to cause turbulence, I'd be a might concerned about those buffer stops....

William Huskisson MP (Member of Parliament, or Mile Post - a method of measuring the railway in miles and chains from a starting point - usually London, depending on context) was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830.  Many more have died in the same way since then.  Don't take a chance: Stop, Look, Listen.

Also, why are the words 'Prams' and 'Pushchairs' capitalised in English but not Welsh?

They are not big on capitals, with the main exception being Caerdydd.

Probably because the English was written by a random employee and then translated into Welsh by someone who has a proper knowledge of the grammar of that language. As I recall (happy to be corrected) only proper nouns in English should start with a capital letter, so the English on the sign is incorrect, the Welsh is spot on! Unless of course it is south Walian Welsh, in which case it's just plain wrong!  Grin

According to the Plain English Campaign, I am indeed correct and it need not be as complex as Winnie might suggest!

I'm not aware of such an organisation! I seem to recall from my Welsh learning days many years ago that the capitalisation rules are much the same as English
