Read over on the District Dave forum that the BBC» are currently filming a second series of the Tube including a bonus episode showing the tube during the New Year.
This has been confirmed by the staff on the forum who work for LUL▸ so I think we have something we can look forward to in addition of the series that is due to be broadcast on sky showing the operation of the east coast mainline which will also be broadcast during 2013.

Always get confused because of the ITV series of the same name. Did ITV drop the programme and BBC» decide to pick up the concept; did the BBC not know about the ITV series or just think 'that was a good idea, let's copy it'?

I believe it is made by the same independent production team. IIRC▸ ITV (or was it C4?) simply didn't want another series so the BBC» took it on, hence it stayed with the same name.

I am sure it is made by the same production team.
The latest version on the BBC» I do find better than those that were broacast by ITV/Sky since the episodes are much longer in length and more informative.
Lets hope series 2 gets as good or if not better following than the 1st series

Shame... I always hoped that with all the changes (and bad press that FGW▸ get in the media), that perhaps we'd be the first "docu-train" programme

Anyone remember Jeremy Spake?

Don't remember Jeremy Spake but I do recall watching the Tube - Jools Holland always did grate a little as a presenter, but Paula Yates was good entertainment as you were never sure what she was going to do or say next.

Jeremy Spake I believe used to routinely *star* in the BBC» Documentary Series: Airport Same guy I'm sure * Edit to add * <TT=Idiot...> BB I'm sorry, I didn't see your post. I saw vacmanfan's post at the bottom and replied and then realised my browser had jumped to the bottom of the screen... *re-applies to go back to school*

The 'dodgy looking paparazzi blokes' were part of Heathrow's official press corps.
