Aside from pondering why the EDP placed this story on their Motoring page: Would it really have been completely out of the question to temporarily use the original Sheringham station? Or would that have set some sort of precedent?
Things take longer to happen than you think they will, and then they happen faster than you thought they could.

The crossing between the two stations is set up for occasional operation only - see
((here)) - and would be labour intensive, very delaying of trains, and would need
ORR» approval for the number of movements. Attachment - the operational details.

The one with the tail showing is an Airbus A321-231. The other is an A320-232. Neither looks remotely like a BAe-146.

From the Summer of '98 - the 07:59 Manchester Piccadilly to London Waterloo ... called at Bristol Temple Meads 11:30 to 11:35, arrived Waterloo 14:13. Returned at 15:17 from Waterloo. Interesting calling pattern ... had Ashley Down been open in those days it could have joined Bradford-on-Avon, Warminster and Craven Arms as a station with direct services to both London (Waterloo) and Manchester.

I can perhaps understand a 16 year old trainee (pun not intended !) pulling out any old stock photo to illustrate a railways story in the Bognor Bugle ....but my postman brought me the latest Railway Touring Company brochure this morning - am I being a little too hopeful in expecting slightly higher standards there ?ECML▸ shown passing through Garsdale (S & C I think !) - I recognise the dog there !

Never trust advertising.
Some years ago, on holiday in Turkey, I was with my daughter, then about 14, when we were approached by either a professional photographer or a pervert with some really expensive kit. He explained that he would like to take some pictures for a Swedish holiday magazine. "But I'm not Swedish" said I, "and neither is my daughter." He said that we were the most Swedish looking people in the pool, and after a few pints had been arranged, the newly appointed Sven and Ingrid* took up the pose with the beach ball.
I have often wondered if that photo appeared in a Swedish holiday catalogue, maybe under a heading "Kom till soliga Blackpool" (Come to sunny Blackpool) or the like.
*I looked up a list of Swedish girls' names for that, and found that my daughter's real name, after her great-great grandmother, is actually almost twice as popular as Ingrid in Sweden. Another schoolday ends!)
