I've just been doing a google search related to Newton Abbot and found this Mid-Devon Advertiser item from 2017. Spot the minor geographical error in the story.

Wrong thread
I have just split this thread ... I added a quote from a web site that was talking about one of the GWR▸ Christmas closures and was illustrated with a picture of a station of the right name in the wrong country ... no wish to cause public embarrassment to the team that made the mistake, so split the topic and moved this part to "Frequent Posters". Where I know that one of the frequent posters will be able to have a quiet word and get it fixed. Gave me a chuckle, mind! New thread at ... http://www.firstgreatwestern.info/coffeeshop/index.php?topic=20801.0

From Rail Technology MagazineRail company in bid to build multi-million-pound rail depot near Ipswich station Rail company Freightliner has revealed that it is hoping to build a new multi-million pound depot for its trains just outside Ipswich station. Freightliner said it wants to build an extensive workshop to maintain its locomotives and wagons, with around 20 new full-time and part-time jobs created to help it carry out the maintenance currently carried out at other depots across the country. The rail firm also wants to move its fuelling point to the depot, enabling its diesel locomotives to be refuelled without having to cross the main line after they arrive from Felixstowe. The new site for the depot would be just outside of Ipswich station. In its planning application to Ipswich council, Freightliner says its nearest wagon maintenance plants are in Manchester and Southampton, which “results in many unnecessary and significant trips.”

Is there any point now in describing something as "multi-million-pound" ? It's not as if a minimum of a couple of million buys you much of anything these days, even in Ipswich.

A little surprised to see a trade publication getting it wrong, so I clicked on the "Rail Technology News" link - and discovered that the behemoth had turned into a repainted Freightliner class 66!

I'm not familiar with Ipswich but it should get you a two-bed flat in Clifton.

According to the Bristol Live this is "a First Bus in Bristol". Close but no banana... For those not familiar with Bristol, that is Bath.

WOWZERS!! I can't believe that I actually sat beside the guy who went to school with the mum of the girl on the back of the bus, at the Railway Inn in Westbury in 2019. I feel almost famous myself. . . Cheers Justin.
