The Committee of Public Accounts (PAC) will today raise serious concerns about Network Rail's five-year investment programme into electrification of the line.
Passengers will "pay a heavy price" because of the delays, according to the PAC.
Network Rail launched their biggest project two years ago in a bid to create faster and more reliable train travel for commuters.
So, it's all apparently due to that broken toast rack / allegedly a shopping trolley on the tracks - which readers of this topic will have noted is my own favourite image.
