I make it 10 for ATOS WebTIS (First Great Western, First Hull Trains, First Capital Connect, First TransPennine Express, ScotRail, Southern Railway (inc. Gatwick Express) Southeastern, London Midland, East Coast, Chiltern Railways)

And 8 for thetrainline (Arriva Trains Wales, CrossCountry, South West Trains (inc. Island Line), East Midlands Trains, Greater Anglia (inc. Stansted Express), c2c, Virgin Trains, Grand Central)

MyTrainTicket provide the booking engine for Northern Rail.

Merseyrail and London Overground do not retail tickets online.

Heathrow Connect and Heathrow Express use their own booking engines.

So, First Group moving all their TOCs (Train Operating Company) to the 'Mixing Deck' has certainly tipped the balance in favour of ATOS.

One disadvantage I can see with the new FGW (First Great Western) on line ticket site is the loss of the ability to buy Groupsave tickets.. unless you can find the option!

Group Save is available on ATOS WebTIS (Mixing Deck) websites. It's offered as a default fare option if the right number of people are selected and Group Save is available on the journey being made. A 'G' in the fare box denotes the Group Save fare. You don't have to select it as a 'Railcard' option as is the case with thetrainline powered websites. Much better being offered as a default than having to select the option yourself.

Hmmm.. yes I would agree it is better but I didn't get that far.  Being conditioned to look for it on the railcard section I missed it so I ended up booking them on the Virgin site.  However now I know!

I noticed the GroupSave option when I booked tickets using the new mixing deck - I hadn't realised before that I could get a groupsave ticket with so few people (5 of us travelling, thought it had to be 6 or more).  Unfortunately I'd already paid for a family railcard which I didn't need to use as the GroupSave ticket was cheaper!

There is one ticket type that WebTIS (correctly) does not apply a GroupSave discount to which The Trainline would discount.  This is the only reason I ever use The Trainline powered sites.
