Had I been in Bristol I would have gladly snapped up one of your tickets relex. But I'm currently residing in the Somerset boonies and I am unable to get to Temple Meads for 0900. I'd suggest taking your spare tickets along as there may be folk on the day after a trip.

Will there be many ticket touts at this event? I'm booked for 1609, but if I'm awake and not doing something "more interesting" with the morning, I may try to find you, relex109. I'll be carrying a rolled-up carnation, and wearing a copy of the Times.

Keep 1 ticket on reserve for me lex Smiley

I'm not sure if I'm going to make it, But i'll see what I can do. I'll probably get the 07:09 SWT (South West Trains) @ WSB» (Westbury - next trains) - BRI» (Bristol Temple Meads - next trains). If you're onboard lookout for this suspicious person sat in First Class (Weekend Upgrade = ^5 Grin ) probably with some form of takeaway Coffee!

I know, I know... I take a hideous mugshot and can't smile lol

Had forgotten about this and since I haven't had a reply from FGW (First Great Western) looks like I've not been successful in getting any tickets. Would quite like to go since I haven't been on the branch since riding on a chocolate and cream DMU (Diesel Multiple Unit) in 1985! so if anyone does have spares I can get over to BTM (Bristol Temple Meads (strictly, it should be BRI)) for the 09:05. Cheers,

Congratulations to everyone involved in making todays Community Rail Partnership Fesival a success and a most enjoyable occasion in such glorious sunshine. Special thanks to the person(s) who arranged for the 1315  unscheduled stop at Temple Meads on the way back from Portbury, as some of us oldies needed some relief ! Roll Eyes

Puzzled as to why there appeared to be no representation/ representative from the Portishead Railway Action Group. I would have thought this would have been a golden opportunity to publicise the work of the group. On a previous visist to Portbury I saw a deputation with banners and flags  at the Portishead junction ... this time, nothing. With a membership of 500 I would have thought some of us could have got something up together....if only we had been asked.

Good to meet grahame, BNM and rogerw  in the flesh.

Well, a very enjoyable ride down to Portbury and back, with special thanks to Chris for the ticket. As pleasurable was the chance to say hello to Chris and others over a couple of beers in the Wetherspoons.
