Noticed this this morning

http://www.firstgreatwestern.co.uk/Your-journey/Route-Updates

Has its own page above, but also shown in a simpler format on the homepage.

Looks like FGW (First Great Western) are tyrying to improve information for customers, so you can see if your route is affected by delays / disruption quickly without using journey check.

Just need some disruption to see how it works....LOL ('laughing out loud') Smiley

This may have something to do with the way Network Rail releases it data to the TOC (Train Operating Company)'s I know there has been a lot of work on this over the last few months

FGW (First Great Western)'s website is currently showing "major disruption" on Padd-Rdg fast services and Padd - Bristol & S Wales, yet there is nothing relevant in Journeycheck and Reading & Swindon departures seem to be OK.
I can see there are problems on the Costwold line, but this is not significantly affecting the GWML (Great Western Main Line).

I've noticed this kind of thing before. Is there a system fault which is producing these false messages of doom and gloom?

It's doing it again.  Showing "major disruption" on Padd -Rdg fast services, but nothing in Journeycheck or Reading departures to justify it.
