Looks like they need a new one. A pleasant surprise for some I'm sure.. 18:37 London Paddington to Port Talbot Parkway due 21:35 This train will be diverted from Port Talbot Parkway. This train will call additionally at Neath and Swansea. This is due to a fault with the signalling system earlier today.
Further Information Engineering works between Port Talbot Parkway and Swansea has finished early. GWR▸ services will now be extended to Swansea calling additionally at Neath and Swansea.

Here is one 'just in'.............. 16:56 Plymouth to London Paddington due 21:00 This train is being delayed between Taunton and Westbury and is now expected to be 86 minutes late. This train will be diverted between Taunton and Westbury. This train will no longer call at Castle Cary. This is due to an object being caught on the overhead electric wires.

To be fair, the following service is also being delayed, but this time the rather more plausible "This is due to a tree blocking the railway." whilst a service in the reverse direction.... 18:00 London Paddington to Plymouth due 21:18 This train will be started from Reading. This train will no longer call at London Paddington. This is due to an object being caught on the overhead electric wires.
So, tbf, probably nowt more than a manual keying error, but amusing notheless

There really was tarpaulin/plastic sheet that had blown on to the OHLE, when that was cleared a tree came down near Castle Cary that was too big for the driver to move. As the incidents happened within a short space of time, the attributer probably got the cause mixed up.

Further to a comment elsewhere - indeed refreshing to see extra information. 09:00 Cardiff Central to Plymouth due 12:42 This train has been delayed at Bristol Temple Meads and is now 43 minutes late. This train will call additionally at Bedminster, Parson Street, Weston Milton and Tiverton Loop. This is due to a broken down train earlier today. Alas, I'm guessing that Tiverton Loop is to allow a faster train to pass and not for passenger purposes Personally, I find the extra data very informative and regret the disappearance of things like "Last report - Thingley Junction" on Webtis screens. Yes, I do understand that 3 out of 5 don't know where Thingley is.

Tiverton Loop does have (long disused) platforms alongside - It's the former Tiverton Junction station. (Edited to include archive photos of Tiverton Junction station.)

I'm surprised that the Class 2 Cardiff-Plymouth wasn't held at Taunton, Tiverton Loop or Exeter to allow the XC HST to pass. Maybe the 1006 from PAD» could have been let through too. However, that may have put the 0900 GWR Cardiff-Plymouth into a 1 hour plus delay. Meaning compensation for passengers. Perhaps GWR colluded with Network Rail to keep it ahead of the Class 1s and below the 1 hour threshold... Cynical? Moi?

It specifically says this train not stopping. Reading or Paddington missed I believe it was a previous service forgetting to stop. Ollie beat me to it
