A new picture theme at the top of the forum - a positive look forward. We're seeing investment announced, investment planned, and investment underway as I write. We're seeing growth in passenger numbers. We're seeing plans being made for the next 15 years. We're seeing the shape of franchising and the fare structure being looked at. Get all of these right and the railways have, indeed, a positive future.
Most of the pictures taken last week ... I'm sure you can work out quite a bit about the return trip I took and place the pictures. And can you also spot the odd handful out?

Well, I am not very good at these quizzes and I can only see one pic in the top right corner which I think is Kings Cross.
I am talking about the pic with Platform 0 in it.
EDIT: I have just realised the pic changes when the page refreshes...DOH!

Each time you refresh the page / move on to another page, you'll be given another image at random from the set of 30. And for being "not very good", you have correctly identified one of the locations Clicking on an individual image will display it larger, and the URL will give you its number if you want to mention it particularly

PLF07 looks to be Paddington, but with a Chiltern train. Were they running to Paddington instead of Marylebone a few weekends ago?

Now very vacant and not used by Allied Dunbar's successor. However, the white building that seems to be sprouting from the top of the power car is the Zurich UK▸ Life Centre - from which one of the corner offices is an excellent place to keep an eye on movements on the GWML▸ !

William Huskisson MP▸ was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830. Many more have died in the same way since then. Don't take a chance: stop, look, listen.
"Level crossings are safe, unless they are used in an unsafe manner." Discuss.

Yeah -- doesn't tell you the routing . Is 02 also Swindon the Gloucester bay?
That may be its current name, but it's going to be renames "The TransWilts Bay" at some date in the future. Come electrification of the main line, the services via Kemble will all be through from London. And with extra TransWilts services, the Bay's the natural place for them. Mind you - I hope the stock utilisation will be much better so that there will be a TransWilts train waiting at Swindon for MUCH less time than the Cheltenhams do ...
