http://www.volo.tv/welcome/Either First are trying to impress more people to retain franchise or maybe a new revenue will soon be in place such as adverts. Either way I guess it makes things more interesting and offers a better experience passangers

You can use it in a few more places than just London to the West though so more appropriate here (Didn't see your post in all seriousness though so sorry for repeat posting)

Clearly commuters, already fleeced by sky high fares, weren't willing to pay extra for this. it would be interesting to hear the usage figures.
Good news.

I've now moved and merged both topics here - just so that Btline's beloved " fleeced commuters" can read all about it ...

43%* - Umm, The small-print, that I assume explains the *, is very small. Without a bucket of sheep food, you are highly unlikely to get close enough to the sheep to read it without the sheep running away.
Does advertising law allow that?
As for Volo TV, I assume this isn't just a trial period of making it free, so it will be permanently free unless somebody else wins the next franchise and desides to make it payable again?

How can The Trainline get away with that when the overall price is ALWAYS more expensive than other websites?
Surely the ASA could ban the advert?

I believe Volo TV got all the money from it anyway, when the TVs were first installed it was reported that Volo paid for it, so you'd expect them to get the money from them.
