I didn't get to see the Adelante sadly - despite spending lots of the day walking from Moreton to Kingham close to the railway!

But I did see this on the return journey. First time I've ever seen a more-than-three-coach Turbo on the Cotswold Line. Needless to say, the back three were locked out of use.

Can't the rear unit be used only for platforms long enough? You could put passengers for Worcester and Hereford for eg in the rear unit.

Seems like a waste of fuel carting around fresh air whilst frustrated commuters are herded into the adjacent sardine can in the sweltering heat.

I must say the Adelante looks very smart in the 'dynamic lines' livery.  Mind you, everything does in my own personal opinion of that excellent livery, even a Class 143 - though 'dynamic place names' might be a better description for the West units!

I think dynamic lines is quite smart too, except the pink doors. White doors would probablly look better.

Don't DOO▸ (Driver-Only Operation (that is, trains which operate without carrying a guard)) it, keep the guard (but it probably wouldn't be a bad idea if the driver unlocked the doors on arrival at calling points).

I like it on HSTs▸ (High Speed Train (Inter City class 43 125 units)), but dislike the local lines livery on 150s etc.

Sorry, forgot to switch DM▸ (Dilton Marsh) mode off on my keyboard...

On a Sunday as well. Dedicated lot on the Cotswold Line, commuting at the weekend.  Roll Eyes
