From the British Transport Police
press release:
Can you help identify these men? Appeal for information after disturbance on train ^ Digby & Sowton
British Transport Police (BTP▸ ) officers are re-appealing for the public^s help to identify two men they want to speak to in connection with an incident on board a train between Topsham and Digby & Sowton railway stations.
Officers have today released CCTV▸ images of the two men who they believe will have information which can assist the investigation.
PC Daren Burns, investigating officer, said the altercation took place on board the 2343hrs Exmouth-Exeter St Davids service at around midnight on Saturday, 10 December 2011.
^As the train approached Topsham station, a group of around 20 people on board, who were in drink, became rowdy and began fighting among themselves," PC Burns said. ^Train staff halted the service at Topsham but the altercation flared up again when the train resumed its journey. The train was extremely busy at the time and other passengers and rail staff on board the train feared for their safety during the incident.
^Officers met the train at Digby & Sowton station and three men were removed from the train and their details taken. After reviewing CCTV images from the train, it has become apparent that two further men were not pointed out to police at the time.
^I believe the men in these photographs will be able to assist the investigation so I would now ask anyone who knows their identity to contact British Transport Police.^
