Spotted this line up on Platform 1 at Temple Meads this afternoon, waiting for a Severn Beach service. Perfect photo opportunity.  Wink

Most unusual to see 5 unrelated people sat on the one bench. Thing is, if they'd shuffled up a bit there would have been room for me to park my butt as well!

If you ever want a 2 seater to yourself, sit in the Window seat of a busy train and when someone gets on looking for a seat, smile slightly eviliy at them and pat the seat with you hand... The result, pax finds a seat in the furthest possible coach.

Another one that works is take an aside seat and when someone asks to sit there reply with "I wouldn't, a young child lost control of his bladder when he was sat there, they just got off at Keynsham" Grin

Not that i've tried any of these methods of course........... Grin

In all seriousness I haven't, but a certain forum I moderate which is essentially a b*tc*y student forum has some interesting topics when it comes to public transport... Some of which I wouldn't recommend drinking any liquid whilst reading Grin I'd fear for my reputation if I mention that I normally travel 1st Cheesy

Yep. Heard Jimmy Carr make that same suggestion.

I'm too nice though. I rarely 'bag' the seat next to me. And, even when I do, I'll always stow my bag/jacket if the carriage starts to look a bit busy. There's always a chance that a really fit lass nice person of the fairer sex will sit down next to me, a conversation is struck up, and we end up living happily ever after. Ain't happened yet. I live in hope.....

Failing that, I'll give up the seat occupied by my jacket to a fellow ferroequinologist, so we can have a nerdy chat about FGW (First Great Western)'s Class 150 situation. That happened yesterday....

Now. Is there someone of the fairer sex out there who also knows her Class 150 gen....?  Grin

Possibly not, although I do follow a nice looking lass on twitter that certainly knows her stuff on Desiros! Probably a bit too young for you though Wink

My ex girlfriend *shudders* has a big thing for Pendolino's... She was so into them infact, there was a joke going around that she supposively lost her cherry to a Virgin Train on the Liverpool line! *Ducks as mookiemo throws unidentified heavy objects at him for insulting northerners!*

Miss trout on the other hand is starting to remember what trains are what now! I've been teaching her well. Strangely enough my favourite picture of me & her is actually taken on 150234... That git of a 150 is stalking me I swear! However at my next meeting with the quack I don't think I should inform him this............ Roll Eyes Shocked Lips sealed

She lost her cherry to a Virgin Train? I know that trains can be seen as a bit phallic, but did you not mean 'on a Virgin Train'?

That said, if you want suggestive visuals (with thinly disguised double entendres) involving Pendolinos, look no further than Virgin's own advertising:

And Virgin spoofing their own advert:

Saucy!

No... I did mean to! I had the unfortunate pleasure of living in a Mental Rehabilitation Unit just after my 18th Birthday and lets say some of the people there, were a little "special" she was bonkers but probably saner than I was at the time! The less said about that though the better though! Lips sealed
