Number 7 looks rather like Westbury, looking from platform 2 towards platform 1.

7. Salisbury?
Sorry, but it's not Salisbury. Sad

Ah, b*gg*r. In that case, I'll second BandHcommuter's guess.

Will 'Spain?' do for #4?   Tongue

4.  Madrid, Chamartin.
I sense cheating... But i'm afraid you are wrong Sad

Cheating?? A scandalous suggestion!  Shocked

No: I simply remembered you telling us all about your adventures on Spanish railways, between Lorca and Madrid, at http://www.firstgreatwestern.info/coffeeshop/index.php?topic=9835.msg102738#msg102738  Grin

As it's now a free-for-all, I'll have another go and say:

3) Gatwick Airport?

Shouldn't number 2 also be attributed to Brucey, as I managed to guess the location before you even posted the quiz  Grin Tongue

Well yes... It is Spain, Some Spanish Trains do go to France; So you are correct in saying that this picture is in Spain. But this type of train AFAIK (as far as I know) doesn't go to France, They are however used on EuroMed services as far as Barcelona. As a hint I will say that "if" this train was running a EuroMed service from Barcelona, It would probably stop here Smiley So i'll award half a point for now Grin I suspect you're going to go off and investigate the Spanish timetable now... Tongue Wink Grin

Yes 'tis Gatwick Airport, I know that because that 442 took me there..........

In theory yes... In practice, an honorary quarter point Grin Wink

Well you didn't see me take that photograph... Number 8 on the otherhand, you were stood right next to me... I feel we're about to have another infamous "ChrisfromNailsea" Station...............

Hmmm, pictures seem to work for me, but then i'm connected to it from it's service line... So I'll double check on my iPhone when I leave shortly Smiley The upload is fairly slow... 512Kbps

Here is a clue For number 8 the station has 2 platforms one of which is bi directional, the other is only used a few times a day and is currently only used in the up direction.... There is a siding at this station which can't be accessed from the main line
