I see that XC▸ Oxford to Bournemouth Trains are calling Reading WEST on Sunday 25 Sept with a bus to/from Reading main station.
Do I take it that the XC trains will take the Oxford Road to Reading West Junc line?

That is what it means due to Engineering work preventing them using Reading General Station. It is nothing new at all.

Not by train from Reading though!!! Buses operate to/from Reading West for Basingstoke services. Buses opearate throughout Reading to Newbury / Bedwyn services. HSS▸ services divert via Melksham or Bridgwater

Not sure what journey planner you are using but all National Rail powered ones are correct and have been for some time.

Am at reading now, only platform 8 for westbound trains, and 9 and 10th for London bound, the swt to waterloo appear to be in the normal bay platform as well

As far as I know SWT▸ have to operate from those bay platforms because they're the only ones with a juice rail.

You do indeed. Make the most of it, as it won't be there much longer!

The depot moves to the North side of the Main line around Cow lane and a new East curve is built across to the the space to go under the Mainline flyovers to link with the Relief lines. The West curve is also I think realinged to go under the Mainline flyover. The Cow Lane road bridge will be totally transformed. See Reading Rebuild plans There are some artists impressions on: http://www.networkrail.co.uk/aspx/6339.aspxBut I can't seem to find teh proposed track plans.

I posted them as an attachment to post #216 in the 'Reading Station Improvements' thread: http://www.firstgreatwestern.info/coffeeshop/index.php?topic=6405.210Hope that is of interest - but if I might suggest that any further discussion takes place in the relevant thread... Paul
