From the FGW (First Great Western) website

Quote
First Great Western are pleased to announce the appointment of Yan Huybrechts as Business Development Manager.
The position focuses on the development of non-fare revenue streams, including parking, property, telecoms, wifi, and media advertising rights.  Yan will also be working on digital network development.

Huybrechts has spent the last two years as commercial and business development manager at Heathrow Connect, primarily working on optimisation of all commercial non-fare revenue streams including advertising and experiential media assets.

Previously he was the Commercial Projects Director at JC Decaux, and has worked as advertising director within the Property Directorate of Network Rail. Yan was also Board Director of Starcom Mediavest.

Yadda yadda.  Angry Roll Eyes

How about some more relevant 'news' for passengers, on the FGW (First Great Western) website?

Couldn't give a stuff about who is FGW's latest 'Business Development Manager'.

FGW have failed miserably in recent months (years?) when it comes to the 'News' section of their website and now they post a puff piece for a new appointment who's remit is way away from the day to day, nuts and bolts job of providing a public transport service.

Forgive me, but there is only one response that sums up my feelings about this 'news' item....

@rse.
