The Reading Job Fair takes place on Thursday at Reading Town Hall from 10.30am to 6pm. Entrance is free.

William Huskisson MP▸ (Member of Parliament, or Mile Post (a method of measuring the railway in miles and chains from a starting point - usually London), depending on context) was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830.  Many more have died in the same way since then.  Don't take a chance: Stop, Look, Listen.

"Level crossings are safe, unless they are used in an unsafe manner."  Discuss.

I wonder just how many FGW▸ (First Great Western) will be 'encouraging to... join up'?

According to their own careers website, they have (as of today) a grand total of one vacancy in Reading. I know - I've applied for it!

You'd think someone writing an article for a newspaper would know their grammar and spelling? no?
It didn't read well and unfortunately some people are going to associate that with FGW I'm afraid..

Hmm. Well, Jo, as some of my previous posts about dubious wordings and dodgy spellings in 'official' FGW▸ (First Great Western) notices have shown, there is no monopoly on poor English among journalists.

Accuracy compels me to add, however, that there is one honourable exception, on this forum.  Wink Cheesy Grin
