Plymouth - Exeter Engineering Work

From SRUG^▸ :

For the next 5 weekends there will be engineering work between Plymouth and Exeter. Busses will replace train on this route. This has an effect on train times at Saltash as many services are only running between Plymouth and Penzance.

These changes will remain in place at weekends up to and including 02nd December 2007.

The revised timetable is attached and listed below. Please check your entire journey at www.nationalrail.co.uk

Was in the middle of that last week and I saw some very interesting trains. Plenty of 66's pulling new sleepers and rail. And this speciak engeeniring cart which ran on the the track but was open with car seats.

Sadly, despite an improvement in publishing revised timetables for engineering work on the website, FGW^▸ haven't bothered with what I think is pretty major engineering work over the next few weekends.

Agreed.

Plymouth - Exeter is considerably busier than Penzance - Plymouth
