With my apologies for only just picking up on this particular item, I'd like to post the following appeal - just because the photos are particularly clear, so there's a better chance of the suspects being recognized.

BTP▸ press release:
DO YOU RECOGNISE THESE MEN? POLICE APPEAL FOR INFORMATION FOLLOWING ATTEMPTED ROBBERY ON BOARD TRAIN BETWEEN PADDINGTON AND SLOUGH
British Transport Police (BTP) is appealing for information after two men attempted to steal another passenger^s mobile phone.
Investigators have also released CCTV▸ images of two men they would like to identify and talk to in connection with the incident, which took place on Sunday, 21 November 2010.
Detective Constable Steve Reay said the incident took place on board the 1am First Great Western service from London Paddington to Reading:
^The victim, a 19-year-old man from Reading, had boarded the train at Paddington when two men and a woman boarded and sat opposite him. Shortly into the journey, one of the men got up to cover the train^s CCTV camera, while the second man attempted to snatch the victim^s mobile phone from his hand. When the victim resisted, the man grabbed him and threw him to the floor, before leaving the service with his friends when it arrived at Slough.
^The victim was able to keep hold of his phone during the attack and, although he was not injured, he was understandably very shaken by the ordeal.
^We have made extensive local enquiries and followed a number of leads, however I am now asking for the public^s help to identify the men pictured in the CCTV images.^
