William Huskisson MP (Member of Parliament) was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830.  Many more have died in the same way since then.  Don't take a chance: stop, look, listen.

"Level crossings are safe, unless they are used in an unsafe manner."  Discuss.

Line problems at Paddington, a freight train broken down at Severn Tunnel Junction, and now a signalling failure around Newport station.

Edit and now I see from the Live Departure board on the ATW (Arriva Trains Wales (former TOC (Train Operating Company))) website that the 2300 arrival at Cardiff Central from Portsmouth Harbour has had to be cancelled between Temple Meads and Filton Abbey Wood because of vandalism

Anyone from Cardiff presumably needed a taxi?....or is there a later train?....
Interesting conumdrum as this was owing to (NOT due to!) vandalism. Technically the TOC (Train Operating Company) doesn't have to compensate etc as not 'railway related delay'....Being so late, I wonder if they did?
