This saturday i am planing on getting a trip on this service before going up to Gloucester & Great malvern, i would like to know how busy is this service and what class of dmu useully works it.

I will be traveling from Cardiff  on saturday morning before getting the 08:22 Portsmouth Hbr service from Bristol TM (Train Manager, or possibly Ticket Machine, depending on context)  to Trowbridge before going to Swindon.

If anyone here is going to be traveling on it on saturday just look out for someone with a large back rucksack wearing glases

One of the most useful services of the sparse northern section TransWilts timetable, with a range of good connections into and out of it.

As ever, grahame is your man for a detailed answer, but passenger numbers have been varied on the occasions I've used it, as has the type of rolling stock involved.

In recent times I've travelled on Class 150, 153 and 158 units deployed on this service.

I am hoping that i will be to travel either on this service or the 15:22 from Swindon tommorow afternoon.

If anyone here is on board come and say hello.

1 question does the 09:05 Westbury - Swindon service then form a Swindon - Cheltenham service?

I cant be there unfortunately, but do enjoy your trip.

The 0905 Westbury-Swindon service forms the 1014 Swindon-Cheltenham Spa service.
