At last the National Rail website has listed all the Rover and Ranger tickets, including the All Line Rovers (previously they said these are only used by enthusiasts and they know what they cost etc!).

Go to Nation Rail > Tickets > Special Offers and choose your favourite TOC (Train Operating Company). The list will start with 14 Day All Line and details validity, prices, railcard discounts and even a list of ALL the stations it is valid to!  I haven't checked to see if any are missing as it is rather a long list. And what is the point of this one!

http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/times_fares/promotions/pr08598b64a441b7a3b7af129f6249a0/details.html

They are all stations where the services are mostly DOO (Driver-Only Operation (that is, trains which operate without carrying a guard)) and therefore first class 99% of the time is effectively declassified.  When the RPI (Revenue Protection Inspector (or Retail Price Index, depending on the context))'s do get on they just turf people out

To be fair, they have been there since the website was re-launched. What has changed, is that they now include the prices. I've got an e-mail reply from Chris Scoggins, NRE(resolve) CEO (Chief Executive Officer), dated Feb 16th that told me they were aware that the fare information was missing from the 'Rovers and Rangers' pages and they hoped to have it included by the end of Feb. So only 2 months out! Looks like they've also finaly sorted the problem of adverts covering up content.

Oh, and why are the Freedom of Devon and Cornwall products listed under Arriva Trains Wales' special offers?

This FGW (First Great Western) area map looks a bit wrong. Not aware of any FGW services into the East Midlands. The 'finger' should be pointing to the left into Hereford/Worcs methinks.

I just love the way that the Severn-Solent ticket doesn't appear under "S" but appears under "F" because it's a "Freedom of ..." ticket.  You really wonder if there isn't a better way of doing it, such as having people click on a map one and give them a list of rovers that cover that area and nearby.

Well as mentioned earlier.....Arriva Trains Wales in Devon and Cornwall? I think not.

And the list of Railcards is next to a heading saying 'No Discount'

Well I have seen ATW (Arriva Trains Wales (former TOC (Train Operating Company))) units running around the FGW (First Great Western) network along with the odd driver in Arriva uniform driving trains at Temple Meads so why not  Tongue

The Arriva problem crops up a lot.

Apparently Penalty Fares don't apply to journeys on ATW (Arriva Trains Wales (former TOC (Train Operating Company))) at Weston-super-Mare  Cheesy
