Strange diversion for Engineering works!

As seen on the Engineering works page on the Arriva Trains Wales website:-

The following changes will apply:

Monday only

23:22 Chester to Manchester Piccadilly will be diverted via Norwich. A bus will run between Chester and Manchester Piccadilly. Journey times will be extended by up to 65 minutes

If i wasn't working that night, I'd wanna be on that train, to see what happens!!

Hopefully, they do mean Northwich - otherwise, that 'fast' train is going to be pulling several 'g' - surely more than enough, even for Btline? Wink

Back in the day, the sign at Bristol Bus Station above the bay for the X39 service (which is the frequent, limited stop Bristol - Bath bus for those who aren't local) used to say "X39 Bath, via Salford and Newton St Loe". Oddly enough whenever I travelled on it they missed out the Salford call and went via Saltford instead. Grin
