If you're viewing this forum as a guest, our current running link will give you a summary of cached information, but if you're logged in, you'll get a report which will include more detail, and the cache will be update for you if we don't hold recent information.

When logged in, you're able to use our stations comparator page to look at the stats for the last couple of years for any one of over 2000 stations, and compare them in terms of location and passenger traffic with other stations.  But if you're not logged in, the link just gives you a sample station.   Try (Dilton Marsh - next trains).html" target="_blank">this link ... if you get Dilton Marsh, you're logged in - if you're given another sample station, then you're viewing as a guest.

Regular logged in users who have posted more that a dozen articles also have access to our frequent posters club where recent subjects include:
* Saving you Money (11.25, on the day, Chippenham to London)
* FOSBR (Friends of Suburban Bristol Railways) website
* FGW (First Great Western) First Class Survey
* Children and Railways should be kept well apart
* Lymington Slammers
* A major train journey from Sheffield Park
* Anyone know how parking fines work?

And of course members who log in can post, and can use other facilities too. It's really useful having the forum marked up for you so that you can find posts that you have not read, for example

Membership is free ... - we just need to know who you are, and to get you to agree to abide by our acceptable user policy (AUP) before you post. There's nothing onnerous in the AUP - in summary, keep it legal, clean, friendly and on topic. You'll find the "small print" in this thread. So if you're not a member, why not sign up today ... and start posting.

You can find out more about how this forum works [here] - that will link you to a copy of the forum agreement that you can read before you join, and tell you very much more about how we operate. We are an independent forum, provided and run by customers of Great Western Railway, for customers of Great Western Railway and we welcome railway professionals as members too, in either a personal or official capacity. Views expressed in posts are not necessarily the views of the operators of the forum.

As well as posting messages onto existing threads, and starting new subjects, members can communicate with each other through personal messages if they wish. And once members have made a certain number of posts, they will automatically be admitted to the "frequent posters club", where subjects not-for-public-domain are discussed; anything from the occasional rant to meetups we may be having ...
