I was tempted to post this in The Lighter Side but if I had been on this service I wouldn't have found it very amusing:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/norfolk/8210158.stm

Quote
Passengers are to be compensated after a train broke down twice and took seven hours to complete a two-hour journey from London to Norwich.

The train left Liverpool Street at 2330 BST on Tuesday, but broke down at Ingatestone and Colchester in Essex. Delays in dealing with both problems meant the train was stuck for several hours. It reached Norwich at 0630 BST on Wednesday.

National Express apologised and said it would carry out an investigation.

Many on board were football fans returning from Norwich City's defeat at Brentford.

I bet the atmosphere on that train was jolly after yet another defeat for Norwich City. They are obviously very well behaved fans as it doesn't report that the train was trashed.

I saw the topic headline and having read the story on bbc.co.uk only minutes before, knew to whit you were refering.  Cheesy

Poor folks, I feel for them. Is there some analogy we can draw from canaries stuck in their cages. Grin
