Stupid question I know, but my annual gold ticket Oxford to London expires shortly and I won't be renewing it. I presume that I am unable to claim back the discount that would apply if I were to renew it? It seems strange that I have had to put up with delays in the service and am unable to claim any compensation as an annual ticket holder UNLESS I renew the ticket!!

Hello papalazarou and welcome to the coffee shop  Smiley

I was in the same situation as you at the start of this year as my job moved so I didn't need to renew my annual season ticket.. It does seem to me too that, because of this, annual season ticket holders lose out on a whole years' worth of discounts  Sad

Seems strange that there is no legal recourse to make a claim for delays. In fairness, since the start of the new year, services have been pretty good, but for the first 6 months of my ticket the service was shockingly bad. Will be getting the Oxford Tube instead.

Good grief, switching from the train to a coach. I couldn't personally think of anything more awful. Presumably it is cheaper Cheesy

There isn't any discount on Oxford London season renewals at the moment. The MAA (Moving Annual Average) PPM(resolve) is ahead of target, so no renewal discounts. The only area where discounts still apply is around Bristol (I think).

To be honest, you're taking more risks with the M40/A40/Westway than with FGW (First Great Western)!

Although Oxford Tubes have Wifi, something which FGW don't seem to be installing.

I normally do extreme shifts ( starting work at 04.45, sometimes finishing at 01.30) , so the bus is the easier and faster option-1 hour from the park and ride to shepherds bush!
