Unfortunately I see FGW as more Portsmouth than Spurs. A top manager (Andrew Haines = Harry Redknapp) has left to be replaced by one of his assistants (Mark Hopwood = Tony Adams), the best assets are past their prime (HSTs▸ (High Speed Train) = David James, Peter Crouch, Sol Campbell, Kanu) and replacing them is difficult (no spare railway stock, Pompey lacking clout in the transfer market) and ridiculously expensive (train leasing charges, Premiership wages....).  Grin

And their finest moment in recent years was in May 08 (reinstatement of 3 car Wessex service, FA Cup).
