I don't know how many of you are aware of this gem, I wasn't !

Several years ago someone with time to spare, "re-drew" the London Tube map using anagrams of all the station names. He did it for no financial gain - just for pleasure. Since then Tfl and it's lawyers have spent huge sums of money threatening any web-site that dares to show this amusing effort. Yet Tfl is quite happy to make money by letting people use the map on all sorts of tacky souvenirs.

If you Google London Tube Map Anangrams (or similar) you will find it, also lots of sites that have been frightened off by Tfl's lawyers.

Did you know that FGW (First Great Western)'s services arrive at "Apt Nodding" ? and where on earth is "Absorbancy & neural android" ?

Goodness - I would love to show that map here, but it's not our chosen battle, and it won't be published anywhere on sites I look after.   However, for regular, signed-in posters, I have provided some suggestions as to how you can find it if you want, at

That is why I didn't even post a link. I didn't want you to get a letter from "Healeys Solicitors" as well  Grin

It is a pretty "dog in the manger" attitude from Tfl, even more so when you consider that Harry Beck was paid a measly ^10.50 for the original !

I know ... and thank you.  I followed up, in part, to say to you and other folks "hey, I know about this post and it's fine by me". And the other part of the follow up is to help people further to find it, but still without publishing it, and without publishing a link to it.

P.S.  I checked the definition of publishing:
Publishing is ... the activity of making information available for public view. ...
