From the FGW (First Great Western) website :

14:06 London Paddington to Penzance due 19:34

This train will be terminated at Plymouth. It will no longer call at: Saltash, St Germans, Liskeard, Bodmin Parkway, Lostwithiel, Par, St Austell, Truro, Redruth, Camborne, Hayle, St Erth and Penzance. This is due to vandalism.

15:06 London Paddington to Penzance due 20:41

This train has been revised. It will additionally call at: Saltash, St Germans and Lostwithiel. This is due to a train fault.

20:11 Penzance to Plymouth due 22:17

This train has been revised. This train will run short formed with 4 carriages. This is due to an earlier train fault.

Why does this particularly interest me? See link below.

Thought as much  Grin

Well done to them for taking the advice on flagging it up as vandalism (which immediately registers in the mind as not being their fault) and for putting in place a far better plan for managing the knock-on effects.

The 2011 Penzance to Plymouth, was actually a Voyager. Does anyone know if CrossCountry sent an extra train to Penzance to cover this?

Only thing I can think of is that the set off the next London down worked up in the path of the 2055 XC (Cross Country Trains (franchise)) service?Huh?
