You will be pleased to know that First Great Western are running a better than normal weekday service this coming Bank Holiday.

All normal weekday services will run as advertised, apart from the 1644 Penzance to Exeter St Davids service which usually calls Saltash at 1831.

On Monday this is substituted with a High Speed service that will leave Penzance at 1640, calling Saltash at 1834, before travelling on to London Paddington.

This not only provides extra capacity for those returning from a Cornish day out, but provides us with a welcome evening Paddington service.

Remember that as it is a Bank holiday, ALL services are classified as Off Peak, so Cheap Day Returns will be available. This in turn means that Devon and Cornwall Railcard discounts and GroupSave will apply on all First Great Western Trains.

Make the most of it.
