The first Torbay Express train of the season on Sunday went to Paignton and Dartmouth, and was only 26 seats short of being a 475-seat sell-out.

William Huskisson MP▸ (Member of Parliament) was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830.  Many more have died in the same way since then.  Don't take a chance: stop, look, listen.

Apart from the fact that it was the second week...

What a success story! It's gone from 4 Sundays in 2003 to 14 in 2008, though I notice they've dropped the Saturday runs this year, which always seemed a bit high risk to me.

I always feel it's a bit pricey, and with only a ^5 reduction for children it's ^210 for a family. But obviously they've priced it correctly if they're filling it. And stabling the stock at Temple Meads during the week must be wonderful free advertising.

It will remain a success as long as it doesn't fail around Tiverton at any time during the summer...  Wink
