It would appear the open top bus service from St Ives to Lands End won't operate this year, the route will use normal vehicles instead. Such a poor decision by remote First management. Cry
++A great shame.  One of the great bus journeys.  Can I also recommend the '70' service running across the cliff top at Whitsand Bay - equally stunning.

Perhaps FirstBus haven't had enough bridge strike conversions to maintain a decent fleet of open toppers.

Modern buses due to their construction can’t be converted as I understand it

That rather depends upon how robust the railway overbridge is ...  Wink

William Huskisson MP (Member of Parliament, or Mile Post - a method of measuring the railway in miles and chains from a starting point - usually London, depending on context) was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830.  Many more have died in the same way since then.  Don't take a chance: Stop, Look, Listen.

The open top buses have left Cornwall and will not operate the Lands End and Atlantic Coaster services this summer. They will be run by normal buses
