I learn a lot from reading 'how others do it' in the work ... and I've found it interesting and though provoking to look at some railway / railroading operations elsewhere in the UK^▸ (United Kingdom), and overseas too, thinking "would this work here" and "can this provide any ideas that might help on the TransWilts".  I'm posting up some of these below - please add your own "way out / international" stuff on this thread!.

The cars are railroad marked, "BRAN" is the Brandon Corporation, a Nebraska short line. But all railroad cars are now "deprescribed", so owners have to negotiate use and lease rates with every other railroad that might handle the cars.

BTW^▸ (by the way), some railroad reporting marks, like BRAN, are "flags of convenience", like Liberian and Panamanian flags on US-owned vessels. The short line doesn't own the cars, or even use the cars. They just lease their reporting marks, which opens the cars for negotiations as to use and fees.

Our train runs on track owned and operated by the Union Pacific Railroad.  Therefore we have to share with other rail traffic.  As a result, occasionally our train will be required to slow down or temporarily stop on a railway siding to allow other oncoming freight traffic to pass.  Situations may also arise where we are delayed as a result of Union Pacific crews maintaining their lines to ensure safe tracks.  Should the occasional delay occur, we thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.

Tickets have sold out online for the train.  You may waitlist for tickets below or submit an order form found in the 5/10/2009 Denver Post Newspaper via US Mail.  Should tickets become available, a reservation will be made automatically and you will be notified.  Your credit card will not be charged unless tickets become available.

I have read each of the above, substituting in local places / company names ... and wonder if there would be a near-riot if it was declared that "arrival times are approximate" for Temple Meads or Paddington
