The Great Western Railway and Paddington Borough Prize Silver Band was established long before 1923. The Great Western Railway Staff Military Band was founded about this time and would give Concerts on the Station Lawn. The Great Western Railway was nationalised in 1948 to become British Railway Western Region and during the 1990s was privatised to become Network Rail and First Great Western.

Friday Evening Band Concerts in the Station from 7.30pm

A different and varied Programme is performed each week of Marches, Selections from the Shows, arrangements from the Classics and Popular Tunes.
