I have a friend whose wife has to travel to Truro on 11th May, returning on 14th. Preferred departure station is Chippenham but Westbury might be possible. At the moment the cheapest fare shown is the off peak return with no advance fares showing from either station. The cheapest option I have found is off peak return to Newton Abbot and advance fares from there. The lady is not an experienced train traveller. Can anyone come up with a better option that's also not too complex

I like to travel.  It lets me feel I'm getting somewhere.
