The various bits of Stratford (London) station generally, newcomers are worst afflicted as they're likely to have to retrace their steps several times while they get the hang of the station.

It is a horrible layout. I often have to retrace my steps. Good luck finding the well hidden unsignposted toilets.

1. What is the MAXIMUM walking distance between platforms at the SAME station (main network and  or underground) - now or historic.  And, yes, provide plenty of examples; I am not looking for an absolute record

If SAME station means those named the same but in different locations, then I posted about Canary Wharf here a couple of months ago, when my walk from the Elizabeth line station of that name to the DLR^▸ (Docklands Light Railway) station of that name took 40 minutes, due to complete lack of useful signage and not very helpful information from those who I asked. I suspect the actual distance is well over a quarter of a mile, maybe nearly half a mile, but no direct route or anything remotely like it between the two, so probably at least 10 minutes to walk (though the one person who offered an opinion on this told me it would take 3 minutes, which I'm sure could not be the case).

Google Maps suggests a walking time of 6-7 minutes (Although that is probably entrance to entrance).

Birmingham New Street to Moor Street is one that absolutely flummoxed me a few years ago

60 Years ago I knew the way; 20 years ago I knew the way. Now the Council has redeveloped virtually everything in between, and at one point I ended up walking through a department store 
Finally I found a passing street sweeper and he pointed me in the right direction...

Huh? Out of the front of the station to the road, turn left in front of Boots, walk on till Moor Street appears across the road, and cross it. 5-7 minutes, undulating.

That was in 2018 when my glaucoma was not as bad as it is now, when I was beginning to find out what I thought I could see and do and what I actually could see and do, were two different things
