I stumbled across this
NR» document - well, Google did really - which has some interesting specific dates in it. Here are the
latest one (December 2021) and
the previous one (May 2021) are both visible - the oddly futuristic dates tells you it's partly about timetabling. ("ESG" is Event Steering Group.)
There's a bit of pre-understanding called for as to what an "event" might be in this context, and what the "Systems Operator" function within NR is. This is
their strategic business plan.
To pick just a couple of examples, against May 2021 it says:
"Okehampton to Exeter St. Davids 0.5tph weekday service"
And for May 2022 it says:
"Final phase of North Downs line service increase
1tph Reading -Gatwick Airport (increase to 3tph)
Change impacts 3 Routes interacting with 3 Main Lines into London"
and links this firmly to the closure of Gatwick P5-6 for widening, with the extra trains delayed until that's done.
