Anyone got more details ?
An internet search finds numerous reports about police searches and "suspicious articles" but little detail.
Was a bomb or other weapon found ?

If anyone here handles incoming mail at the workplace, please be cautious and review you employers instructions regarding bomb threats in the post.
In the absence of specific instructions I would suggest the following.

"If a suspicious package is found, place it gently on the floor, preferably with space all round it.
Wedge the door of the mail room open.
Evacuate nearby rooms. If the suspicious item is larger than is easily handled by one person, evacuate the whole building.
Leave doors leading to the mail room wedged open.
Having evacuated, ring the police. Follow their instructions"

A proper intercity train has a minimum of 8 coaches, gangwayed throughout, with first at one end, and a full sized buffet car between first and standard.
It has space for cycles, surfboards, luggage etc.
A 5 car DMU (Diesel Multiple Unit) is not a proper inter-city train. The 5+5 and 9 car DMUs are almost as bad.
