It must be almost a decade ago I added the Station Comparator on this website, and each year from then onwards I've added new ORR» (Office of Rail and Road, formerly Office of Rail Regulation - about) passenger data as it's come out.  Today, looking for some light relief from other things I have going on,  I have written a program to compare old and new stations lists.

* Both lists are based on three letter codes, so ANY, BPC, FAM, LSP, LON, SMI, WDF and perhaps others show up in "gone" but also in "added" (can you work  out their new codes??)
* Some station have been "lost" to Metrolink and DLR (Docklands Light Railway), and perhaps other networks
* Recent changes such as Angel Road closure have happened after the newer data

We have LOST (this data tells us) the following stations from the National Network:
ABR gone from Abercynon North
