People in Keynsham and Saltford will be able to get return bus tickets to Bristol and Bath for the price of a single fare from this week. First has halved the cost of travel for adults and children in the neighbouring communities after a similar promotion in Saltford last year led to an increase in customers (link below.)

It will cost ^2.25 for a return ticket from Keynsham to Bristol, ^3.70 for a return ticket from Keynsham to Bath, ^3.70 for a return ticket from Saltford to Bristol and ^3.25 for a return ticket from Saltford to Bath.
The cut-price promotion follows negotiations between Wansdyke
MP▸ Dan Norris and First.
Mr Norris said he was hopeful that if passenger numbers rose considerably as a result of lower fares, bus operators would need to consider satisfying greater demand by increasing the volume of services.
