Due to a number of unsafe trees on the line between Clarbeston Road and Fishguard Harbour, Network Rail has closed the line between the stations.
Buses will replace trains between Carmarthen and Fishguard Harbour until at least the end of the day on Monday 18 November.
Trains are able to run normally to / from Milford Haven and Pembroke Dock.

From Daily Mail

Couple who complained that the value of their guesthouse next to a railway was ruined by passing TRAINS lose claim for £95k compensation
Denham Gregory, 53, and wife Michelle, 50, saw their B&B's turnover plummet
They bought property for £310,000 in 2005 and sold it for a 'cut price' £357,000
A judge dismissed their claim against Network Rail for £95,000 compensation

Summary ... in "days gone by", Fishguard Harbour station had twice daily through trains to and from Paddington to connect with boats to Rosslare (in Ireland). There had been no local services since 1964. The London trains were replaced by two daily local trains with connections at Cardiff just prior to 2000 (daytime) and 2003 (night train).

These folks bought the guest house (The Ferryboat Inn) in 2005 - i.e. between 2003 and 2011 when just 4 local trains passed by each day.

From September 2011, an extra 5 round trips have operated to Fishguard Harbour - and indeed Fishguard and Goodwick station, closed since 1964 (I think) has been re-opened, and now 14 rather than 4 trains a day pass by, to the disturbance of Mr and Mrs Gregory and their guests, to the cost of £95,000 according to their claim.

According to the Network Rail stoppage, looks like the now owners will have three weeks of blissful peace before the disturbance starts again.

Curiously there is only one negative comment about rail noise (and that is only in passing) on TripAdvisor, so I'm not sure how the extra train services have ruined the business.  I would have thought a better rail service might actually attract more trade, though I suppose much of the business is related to ferry traffic.

Funnily enough, all the reviews in the last couple of months (ie since the new owners have had time to get settled in) have been 5 star - make of that what you will.
