We received a number of calls at around 2.45pm today (6/8/19) about a man who had been acting in a threatening and aggressive manner and shouting at members of the public while waving a small knife around.

An unusual incident for Melksham Station. And, sadly, incidents can happen anywhere
If you need to call for help at Melksham Station, British Transport Police who look after it can be reached by text on 61016, or 0800 40 50 40. There is also an emergency contact button on the help point just inside the station gate - use that for police, ambulance or fire and rescue. Or in an emergency, dial 999 or 112 on your phone just as you would anywhere else.
Incidents like this are - thank goodness - rare. And this has been dealt with safely and without injury. Thank you to those who reported the incident, and the services who came along to resolve it.
