URL will change over time.  Currently advises:

- Due to a low speed derailment of an engineering train, all Gatwick Express services are suspended. We'd advise using alternative services towards London Bridge/Blackfriars.

One for the Mods? I think the somewhat misleading thread title needs changing - my understanding is that only the Gatwick Express services are suspended.

Why only Gatwick Express; surely other operators use the same tracks?  Huh

From https://www.nationalrail.co.uk/service_disruptions/225840.aspx (snip edited to give main story)

A low speed derailment of an engineering train in the London Victoria area means fewer trains are able to run. Train services running to and from this station may be cancelled, delayed or diverted London Bridge. Belmont, Banstead, Epsom Downs and Battersea Park will not be served.

Which trains are currently being reduced?

Gatwick Express services will be suspended until further notice

Services between London Victoria and Epsom Downs are suspended

Other services via Sutton may be cancelled at short notice, including trains which run to & from Horsham via Sutton

Services between London Victoria and Reigate are likely to be cancelled at short notice or formed of fewer coaches than normal

I have changed the subject line from "Gatwick airport" to "Gatwick Express" ... and added more detail (just above).  Not really a North Downs line topic but I have not moved the post ... there could be issues with Victoria to Reigate which is on the North Downs Line.

Reading to Gatwick running AOK (or to be more accurate "not significantly effected by this incident")

That's strange.   I follow him and have no problems.  Judging by his profile picture of the signal from platform 4 at Twyford into the Henley branch I guess he is based near Reading.

I didn't suspect for a moment that I was blocked ... will take another look as I get a chance.  Perhaps because I was / am on a subsidiary account at that time that we used to use for a noisy data feed.     Massive backlog today - will have a "play" if I get a chance ...
