For me, a train that calls at six stations between Reading and Paddington is a stopping one! It sure ain't a semi-fast. But I appreciate that it's not so much of a stopper as the TFL^▸ (Transport for London) ones (11 stops).

Cue for suggestions as to what we call the slower GWR^▸ (Great Western Railway) trains. (Semi-stoppers?

Being GWR, we can't call them "fast" and "slow"

We could have fun with this one ... can't call them "main" and  "relief" - confusion with lines, wrong usage of words, and you can' relieve yourself on the relief trains.

"Eagles" - first stop Reading, IETs^▸ (Intercity Express Train - replacement for HSTs (manufactured by Hitachi in Kobe, Japan))
"Swifts" - one or two stops on their way to Reading
"Swans" - about half the stations
"Ostritches" - all stations trains

Could use the same same borrowing from old American practice that Thames Trains did for one peak train and call them "Thames Valley Limited"

Bearing in mind they aren't really faster in all cases, pseudofast would fit.

So the train at 10:30 would be the 10:30 Limited?  Now where have I heard that before?  Wasn't that the other name the old GWR^▸ (Great Western Railway) used for the Cornish Riviera Express?

Another issue  - this time a stop removed at King's Sutton from an already-sparse evening service from Oxford - customer now has to double back via Banbury (is there an easement for that?)

David Evans of Astropp Road has complained bitterly to Great Western Railway (GWR^▸ (Great Western Railway)) about the timetable changes that mean people working in Oxford cannot get directly back to King's Sutton and those wanting to get in to Banbury for the evening are unable to use the train.
